RDU has a free cell phone lot at the airport authority's main building on Trade Drive, about three minutes from the terminals. If you'd rather meet your passenger inside, short visits under 15 minutes are free in the ParkRDU Central and Premier garages. Rates below are RDU's posted drive-up prices.

Reservations, veterans, RVs and special cases

Paying without a credit card

RDU parking is cashless. ReadySTATION kiosks turn cash into a card: they're in Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the garage exit plaza lobby at 1050 Cargo Drive.

Oversize vehicles and campers

Oversize vehicles go in ParkRDU Economy. For special arrangements, call the RDU parking office at 919-840-2140 (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm).

Reservations

Book at least 24 hours ahead. The gate reads your license plate on entry. After paying, you have 30 minutes to exit.

Tips

Use the free Cell Lot and wait for the 'I've got my bags' text. You have to stay in the car, and there are no restrooms.
Going inside? Central and Premier are free under 15 minutes, then the hourly rate starts.
Pickup trucks with racks and vans over 7.5 ft won't fit in Central. Use Economy.
No credit card? Load cash onto a card at a ReadySTATION kiosk before you head to your car.
